The OxCAM Engineering Arc team provide expertise across a range of industries. FOUNDING MEMBERS
Dr Mike Lewis
Mike has over 25 years’ of experience of using Computational Aided Engineering tools to answer engineering questions. He is CEO of FTS Engineering Answers, and previously grew and managed two consultancy groups, one at Xodus Group and one at CD-adapco. He has worked in several industries from automotive through life sciences to oil and gas. Mike holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University.
Dr Gerson Garsed-Brand
Gerson is Managing Director of Sabe Fluid Dynamics. He has over 15 years’ experience working with thermal and fluid dynamic applications, including a 9 years period working as a F1 aerodynamicist in car design development, race car performance analysis and establishing correlation levels across CFD, wind tunnel and track. Gerson holds a doctorate degree from the University of São Paulo.
Dr Simon Smith
Simon is the Managing Director of Transforming Stress Ltd. He has developed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods for application to the performance of structures since the early 1980s, and, specifically, has a detailed knowledge of the fatigue and fracture performance of welded joints. He has taught at a Masters level and supervised doctoral research. Simon has contributed to codes and standards, notably BS 7910 and BS 7608. He has used FEA in consultancy projects for a wide range of industries. Simon holds a doctorate degree from The University of Nottingham.
